Mowing – Turf areas are mowed using solar powered mowers. Small properties that require a reel mower are mowed using push mowers. The ultimate in sustainable lawn care energy! We recommend grass clippings remain in the lawn as the most natural fertilizer are the grass clippings that come with mowing. We recognize however that isn’t for everyone. HealthyLawn Hawaii will tailor clippings strategy to suit each customer’s needs.
For larger areas of turf/fields, HealthyLawn Hawaii is currently working on bringing biodiesel riding mowers to our company for use and ultimately will use solar powered riding mowers. For now, where 100% carbon neutral equipment is not available, we will purchase carbon offsets to bring your pollution contribution down to ZERO.
Trimming – Turf areas adjacent to curbs, sidewalks, driveways & patios trimmed.
Edging – Edging performed at start of service each season and maintained through the year.
Blowing/Clean-up – Sidewalks, patios, porches & driveways blown with each mowing.
HealthyLawn Hawaii stays true to sustainable lawn care by combing a mixture of organic fertilizers and microorganism soil builders to grow strong, beautiful, and healthy grass.
You can also tailor your organic fertilizer and weed control to suit your lawn’s unique needs
- Local organic pest control
- Compost application
- Herbicide spot spray weed control*
*Currently there are no organic products available that we feel confident using which will effectively kill the weeds in your lawn. Until there is an effective organic product, we have chosen to carefully use effective post-emergent chemicals to control weeds.
Moisture analysis – HealthyLawn Hawaii uses state of the art meters to monitor the amount of moisture in your soil and then create the most efficient, healthy schedule of sprinkler irrigation for your lawn. Not only will this help the environment, it will save you money.
Soil Analysis – know what you don’t know. Before applying fertilizer that your soil may or may not need, HealthyLawn Hawaii will take a sample of your yard’s soil and analyze it for nutritional content. The information we gather from the analysis will form the basis for our organic lawn treatment recommendation.
